Parent and Player Testimonials

Before working with Jesse, I was quickly overwhelmed by the many unknowns that surrounded the complicated world of university hockey. Without much background knowledge, my family felt that instead of trying to teach ourselves and risking missing the NCAA Division 1 window, it would be beneficial to work with an expert. I knew Jesse as a coach before I knew him as an advisor. Even in this brief testimonial, referring to him as Jesse rather than “coach” still feels a bit strange to me. When I expressed my struggles and fears about navigating the process correctly, Jesse was very eager to offer me his support. His guidance encouraged me to play my best hockey, and behind the scenes, he worked tirelessly to provide me with opportunities to be noticed. His passion for the game and extensive network within the female hockey community helped guide me to make the best decision that aligned with my goals for my hockey career and for my future.  With Jesse’s support, I was able to secure a full-ride NCAA Division 1 scholarship to the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers! I am beyond grateful for his assistance and know that I will continue to rely on him as a mentor throughout my hockey journey.

I was practically clueless and helpless throughout the college recruiting process until I had heard from other hockey parents about Jesse Hammill and what an amazing resource he is for their child.

When we reached out to him, he was nothing but compassionate, professional, well connected, and really knowledgeable about the industry. He was instrumental in my child being recruited to the university with the program of her choice.

The guidance and support he provided her were immeasurable and I would wholeheartedly recommend Jesse Hammill in a heartbeat to any hockey parent who is looking to make some sense of the college recruiting journey.

“I am enormously grateful to EFHD for supporting me all through my journey towards finding the perfect fit in my next chapter. I appreciated Jesse’s constant encouragement, advice, and knowledge. Jesse always went above and beyond and his highlight reels and social media posts showcased me as a player. I’m really excited about playing Canada West USport this fall and I know that Jesse is always just a call away.”

Jesse helped me immensely with promoting my brand and putting my skills as a goalie onto many schools’ radars.

He always ensured that the end goal of getting a scholarship was clear in my mind and kept in contact with me over the course of the season.

Thanks to him, I now have a great USports scholarship as a Trinity Western University Spartan and am continuing to do the sport that I love!

We couldn't have asked for anymore than what Jesse provided for us during the recruiting process with our daughter Beth Graham( Niagara University ACHA D1 2024 commitment)

The video support and postings were very professional and he offered up very helpful suggestions as to what we should be adding and or leaving out, it made sorting through all of the video we had so much easier.

When it came to actually speaking with coaches his advice was invaluable. He has very comprehensive strategies when speaking with coaches, his input and very sage advice made the entire process so much easier.

He also helped us to understand that you need to dig a little deeper when you are researching the schools that are showing interest in your daughter. We were a bit hung up on the whole NCAA hockey programs. But after a number of conversations with both Jesse and Beth's coaches we started to understand that fully funded highly ranked ACHA schools will offer up a much better and more competitive hockey experience in many cases than a D3 NCAA program.

With his guidance we were able to sort through all the potential schools that had actively recruited our daughter and make the best choice that will allow her to excel both in the classroom and on the ice.

The final thing I would add is GRADES are everything!!! If your not playing NCAA D1 as a female then there are no athletic scholarships for hockey as there is no NCAA D2 and no scholarships in D3. However if your daughter works hard both in the classroom and on the ice and in the gym, there are some incredible opportunities out there as we found out, thanks to Jesse's help.

Bottom line is without Elite Female Hockey Development and Jesse Hammill our daughter wouldn't be in the position she is in,playing at a very competitive school, albeit 17 hours from home with amazing facilities, phenomenal coaching and tremendous academic opportunities.

On behalf of the Graham family we would recommend Jesse Hammill to anyone looking to help get their daughter to the next level.

Jesse has been a fantastic help in the recruitment and commitment process for our daughter. It is plain to see that he is very passionate about helping players in all aspects of the game.

From coaching tips, to video review, to guidance during the process.  Jesse was always there to answer any questions our family had, no matter the time of day.

Being based outside of North America, I was unsure of many aspects of college hockey. However, I always knew that I wanted to continue my journey in North America.

EFHD helped me navigate the college recruitment process and was always there whenever I needed assistance.

They opened up countless options and made the entire process immensely easier.

The moment that you sign with EFHD you are provided the tools, contacts and support. Jesse has great insights on how to contact coaches to get a reply as well as helping you prepare for calls.

We had no idea where to start and within an hour of meeting Jesse we felt confident and prepared to start the process.

We knew that being a goalie it was going to be difficult with the limited availability of roster spots however with Jesse advocating for our daughter and the work he put in she signed to play Usports at a university that will fulfill her academic goals.

We wanted to thank you for all the hard work and dedication as a hockey recruiter. Elite Female Hockey Development helped Reese on a weekly basis.

We thought we had a good grasp of what we, as parents could help our daughter with. To find a school that fit all her needs, with an athletic scholarship.

After speaking with you the first time we realized how much work it really was. It was a team effort and EFHD helped Reese with the highs and lows of the season, not wavering and continuing to work with many different schools and ideas.

In the end Reese will be playing where she wanted to play!

Thanks again for all your help.

I was playing single-A hockey on Vancouver Island when I had a conversation with Jesse about my dreams and ambitions of playing hockey at university, he told me that there are many opportunities out there for athletes like myself.

Fast forward 6 months and my dream came true I am heading to New York State to start my collegiate hockey career.
